David Whittle Obituary
David Dexter Whittle, age 55, born in Seattle, died suddenly Sunday, August 25, 2013. He was loved by many and leaves behind his beloved wife, Pam, and two remarkable teenage sons, Dean and Kyle. He cherished family above all else. The legacy of his kind spirit, engaging sense of humor, and vivacious nature, will provide his family with strength. It was an honor and privilege to know Dave and call him a friend. His larger than life presence always drew his family and friends together. In addition to quality time with his family, Dave enjoyed skiing, boating, hiking, camping, golfing and grilling. Dave's enthusiasm for sports, especially football, allowed him to inspire many individuals on and off the field. He played for Columbia Basin Community College and Michigan State University, and then coached for the Oregon Ducks. Dave continued his support of college football as a Duck booster and a devoted fan. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Dexter and Tye. Dave is survived by his brothers, Greg (Terri), Brian (Cindy), Barry (Debbie) and Mike (Kim); his sister, Joan (Kevin); numerous nieces and nephews; his in-laws, Bob and Nancy; and his brother-in-law, Shawn. Please join us for a celebration of Dave's life this Friday, August 30 at 1:00 pm at The First Christian Church located at 2000 N. Lincoln Avenue, Loveland CO. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted in Dave's memory to the Thompson Valley High School Football Booster Club. Donations can be mailed to 2008 Calhoun Court, Loveland, CO 80537.
