John Schwalbe Obituary
John "Jack" Alfred Schwalbe 90, passed away peacefully at his home July 7, 2018. Jack was born September 16, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois. He served in the United States Navy 1944-1945 on the USS William Powell DE-213. He married the love of his life Wyn on July 10th, 1948. He is survived by his sister Joanne Castillo of Illinois, daughter Kathy Kness and husband Terry of Loveland, daughter Pam Stultz of Ft. Collins and son Kevin Schwalbe of Loveland. He has 8 grandchildren (Jim Kness, Cory Kness, Travis Kness, Hayley (Kness) Thomas, Steve Wicker, Michael Wicker, Jeremy Stultz and Tyler Stultz), 25 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. He was the best husband, a faithful father and beloved grandpa. Jack and Wyn moved to Loveland, CO in 1965 at which time he started and owned the successful Bear Alignment of Loveland. He enjoyed restoring cars, woodworking, house restoration, puzzles, visiting the Oregon coast, being side by side with his wife and spending time with his family for whom he was an anchor. He was a man who was well respected, strong, disciplined, hardworking, wise, kind, honest, humble, devoted, caring, fun and had the best smile and laugh. Jack will be dearly missed and treasured always. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Loveland Burial Park. At the family's request there will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider donations to Pathways Hospice in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home.
