Robert Hoffman Obituary
Our dear, beloved family member went to his heavenly home on July 6, 2013. Bob, 73, was born to Orville and Marjorie (Eberhart) Hoffman in Loveland, CO. His is the 3rd generation to live on what is left of the Hoffman farm here in Loveland. He attended Washington Elementary School (now Walgreens at Eisenhower & Lincoln Ave.) Bill Reed Junior High was the High School back then, he graduated in 1958. After high school, he joined the Navy to see the world, but could not wait to get back to Colorado. While stationed at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, FL, he discovered his love for flying. He was a member of the flight team that flew search and rescue missions. Therefore, he decided to get his private pilot's license. He married Margery Lahr on December 22, 1960 in Pensacola. After the Navy, Bob worked for Mountain Bell Telephone Company, U.S. West and Qwest until his retirement. Besides his family, his passions included flying, farming, fishing, bee keeping. We love him and will miss him tremendously! Bob's parents preceded him in death. His survivors are his wife Margery; sons Steven, Bryan, and Darren (Anita) Hoffman; daughters Carol (Todd) Primmer and Joanna (Dave) Bantam; grandchildren Jeremy, Charles, Matthew, Rachael, Ross and Reed Hoffman and Paige and Levi Primmer; brother David (Lynette Perry) Hoffman; nephew Perry Hoffman and his son Michael; several cousins; Aunt Jo Morgan, Uncle Leo and Uncle Glenn (Adele) Eberhart. The family would like to thank all of the wonderful care of Pathways Hospice at this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Pathways Hospice or Larimer County Humane Society. A memorial gathering with be held on Thursday, July 11 12pm at Allnutt Funeral Service, Loveland. Inurnment at Loveland Burial Park, reception to follow the inurnment at Allnutt's Family Center.
