Roger Lundquist Obituary
Roger Llewellyn Lundquist, 80, passed away on October 20, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Society in Loveland, CO. He was born December 5, 1932, to Emil and Mary (Abrahamson) Lundquist in Montevideo, Minnesota. Roger graduated from South High School in Minneapolis in 1950 and the Minnesota School of Business in 1958. He served as a Military Policeman in the United States Army and played on the Army baseball team while he was stationed in Germany. Roger retired from the Minneapolis Police Department in 1991 after 30 years of service. He is survived by his two daughters and their families: COL Joseph and Jodi (Lundquist) Diminick of Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania and Pastor Carl and Vicki (Lundquist) Sutter of Loveland, CO. His grandchildren include Andrea, Alaina, Anthony, and Aaron Diminick; and Caleb and Luke Sutter; as well as some nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Viola Knutsen, Irene Sabo, Anna Mae Johnson, Goldie Swan, Ellie Long, and Morrie Lundquist. His daughters' families cared for him from 2002 to 2010 until he moved to the Good Samaritan Society where he was cared for by the amazing and loving staff until his passing. He dearly loved his children and grandchildren, baseball, golf, playing cards, ballroom dancing, watching Billy Graham, and making people laugh. No daughters could have ever asked for a more loving, enjoyable, and available father. After a private family memorial, Roger will be interred at Hillside Memorial Cemetery, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Go to www.viegutfuneralhome.com for condolences.
