Early December 23rd, Sarah Carlile Stevens went home to be with her Heavenly Father. She was born September 30, 1959 to Winford Carlile and Nancy Green from Lovington, NM. In 1980, while attending Southern Methodist University in Texas, she met and fell in love with Eldred Nick Stevens Jr., and they were married on May 30, 1981. In the following years, she masterfully raised and educated her four children. They moved to Loveland in 1999, where she worked as an administrator for Resurrection Fellowship and Third Day Victory Church. Her love for her family, her unending encouragement and support, and her words of wisdom and understanding have touched and inspired an innumerable number of hearts. She is preceded in death by her father, Winford, and her daughter, Lygon, who died in an avalanche in 2008. She is survived by her husband, son, two daughters, mother, and two sisters. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, December 27 at 10:00am at Resurrection Fellowship with reception to follow. Internment will be at 2:00 at the Estes Valley Memorial Gardens in Estes Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sarah Stevens Memorial Fund. Go to www.viegutfuneralhome.com for condolences.
