Velda lived in North Dakota, Missouri, and Colorado where she retired from Hewlett-Packard. In 1944 Velda met the love of her life, Clifford Stolebarger, who at the time was enlisted in the U.S. Navy. On Clifford's first leave from duty, they were married on August 16, 1944. After being honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy, Velda and Clifford moved to Two Buttes, CO where they lived for 30 years. They were blessed with 4 Children of their own; Cyntha Stolebarger of Loveland, CO, Bev Beckwith of Loveland, CO, Roger Stolebarger of Loveland, CO. And Beth Davies which preceded her mother in death. Clifford and Velda completed 65 years of marriage. Clifford preceded Velda in death in 2009. Velda enjoyed crocheting, arts and crafts, and reading. Velda loved camping and the outdoors, and traveling with her late husband Clifford. One of Velda's main loves was spending time with her grandchildren. It was never a strange sight to see Velda with one of her grandchildren on her lap reading them a story. Velda also very much loved the Denver Broncos and was an avid fan. Velda was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Stolebarger; her parents; Clyde and Flora Wilkerson; a grandson; 6 brothers and 1 sister. Velda leaves behind her children, Roger Stolebarger of Loveland, CO; Beverly Beckwith of Loveland, CO; Beth Davies who preceded her in death and welcomed her home, and Cynthia Stolebarger of Loveland, CO who cared for both parents for many loving years. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren, plus many, many nieces and nephews, and Kelly Sexson who Velda loved as a daughter. She had a heart of gold and was a very outgoing and giving person. She touched many lives and will be deeply and forever missed by all.
