James Lechleidner Obituary
James Leroy "Jimmy 3 Fingers" Lechleidner born April 7, 1952, passed away at his home in Loveland, CO on February 4, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Jimmy was born in Bluffton, IN to Eugene and Louise Lechleidner and was raised in Hamilton & Kendelville. Jimmy served as a medical specialist in the United States Army from May 15, 1969 and was honorably discharged January 19, 1970. He moved to Ft. Morgan, CO in 1979. Jimmy loved to play bass guitar. He also loved fishing and being with his family and friends. He played in the worship band at South Gate Church in Fort Collins, CO and was a member of many bands playing Rock 'n' Roll and Blues. He taught himself to play guitar at 13 and learned many more instruments throughout his life. Making his living as a Luthier, he had remarkable talent at building stringed instruments. His musical abilities surpassed most. He had a sweet voice and could play the guitar beautifully. Jimmy was a man of God and worked with various outreaches in Loveland and Fort Collins. He was a member of the Eternal Brothers Ministry where he spent his time spreading the word of God, feeding the homeless and helping as much as he could. He loved children of all ages, especially his grandchildren. He loved a good joke and a good prank but most of all he loved to be in the Grace of God and in His word. He is survived by his loving wife Katie Lechleidner; sons Gabriel and Jake Lechleidner and daughters-in-law Sephra and Amy; daughter Jessica Tetzlaff and son-in-law Matt; brothers and sisters Kenneth, Robert, Barbara and Vetha; as well as 9 grandchildren Ariel, Shadau, Jacob Jr, Myracle, Sally, Jayden, Helen, Stephanie and Kacee; and many extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, one nephew and a grandson. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2014, 3:30 P.M. at South Gate Church, 6541 S. College Ave., Fort Collins, CO 80525. A reception will follow services. Go to for condolences.
