Douglas H. Johns, 71, of Loveland passed away on March 5, 2014. Doug was born on September 2, 1942 in Dodgeville, WI to Henry and Melva (Divall) Johns. He grew up on a dairy farm in Montfort, WI and graduated from Montfort High School in 1961 and then attended the University of Wisconsin in Platteville. Doug married Nancy A. Ladd on September 13, 1964 in Dodgeville, WI. Doug was a self-employed business owner of "Doug Johns Sales" where he sold agricultural machinery. He was a member of Crossroads Church in Loveland. Doug was a member of the Centennial Bass Club and Colorado Bass Federation. He was a family man who loved his family, an avid fisherman and loved his dog! Doug loved to travel and liked being out on the water. Doug is survived by his wife, Nancy of Loveland; sons Derek (Julie) Johns of Highland Ranch and Mathew (Amy) Johns of Las Vegas, NV; brother Dan (Sandy) Johns of Montfort, WI; sisters Joy (Randy) Trollop of Wausau, WI and Jill (Jeff) Cordes of Austin, MN; and grandchildren Nicholas, Katelyn, Mia and Delaney. He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Crossroads Church in Loveland. Memorial contributions may be made to the Doug Johns Memorial Fund to go to local church and local organizations.
