Cris Grotenhuis Obituary
Cris Arthur Grotenhuis, 41, of Loveland, passed away on March 10, 2014 in Loveland. Cris was born on July 23, 1972 in St. Charles, IL to Arthur and Janet (Parsley) Grotenhuis. He grew up in South Holland, IL and graduated from Thornridge High School in 1990. Cris earned his bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University. He moved to Loveland in 2001 and married Laura Sether on June 3, 2006 in Loveland. Cris was a calibration technician for Tektronix in Littleton. He attended Foundations Church. Cris was actively involved with small groups, Project 1 and Project 12 at Crossroads Church. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking, hunting, and four wheeling. More than anything, Cris loved people. He was a very outgoing person who never knew a stranger and was an extreme optimist. Cris was devoted to his relationships with his family, friends and God. He was also a 25 year kidney transplant survivor. Cris is survived by his wife, Laura, his parents Art and Jan Grotenhuis, his step son Corwin Sether and his daughter Chloe Grotenhuis, all of Loveland. Cris is also survived by his brother Eric Grotenhuis, his wife Josie and their children Max and Luke of Folsom, CA. A visitation will take place Friday, March 14 4-7pm at Allnutt Funeral Service, 2100 N. Lincoln, Loveland. A celebration of life will be held Saturday March 15, 1pm at The Church of the Good Shephard, 3429 N. Monroe, Loveland. Memorial contributions can be made to or Pathways Hospice.
