David Johnson Obituary
David Allen Johnson, passed away at McKee Medical Center Pathways Hospice Care Center on May 9, 2014. David was born in Mason City, Iowa on September 9, 1948 to Calvin K Johnson and Bernice L (Day) Johnson. David was raised in Clear Lake, Iowa and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1967. He served in the United States Navy as a Petty Officer Second Class Shipfitter from 1967 to 1971. He received the National Defense Metal and Vietnam Service Metal. He served on board the USS Carpenter DD 825, USS Bryce Canyon AD36 and the USS Berkley DDG 15. David Married Pamela Carney in 1974 and later divorced moving to Loveland, Co in 1980. He was employed in construction his entire life. He was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 41 in Loveland. He enjoyed watching or listening to NASCAR, the Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos. He lived life to its fullest and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. David is survived by his son Matthew and wife Carmen from Phoenix, Az, His sister Diane Lyons and husband Fran, Loveland Co, nephews Tim Lyons (Wendy) Fort Collins Co, and Mark Lyons (Cindy) Loveland Co and five great-nephews and nieces. Special friends Tim and Cheryl Moser and Family. A Celebration of Life and reception will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014, 2:00 P.M. at the Loveland VFW in Loveland, Colorado.
