Elsie Wilson Obituary
Elsie Erna Wilson went home to be with the Lord on June 8, 2014 at the age of 94. She was born April 9, 1920 in Chemnitz, Germany to Paul and Antonie Arnold and came to the U.S. as an infant of two years of age. Her family moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she spent her childhood years along with her older brother, Herb. She then moved to Los Angeles, California where she worked and met her husband Paul Wilson who was in the Navy at the time. Upon Paul's discharge from the Navy they married and moved to Spring Grove, Minnesota, later lived in Houston, Minnesota then moved to Loveland, Colorado in 1966. Together they raised four children; two sons Ozzie Wilson (Eyleen) of Loveland, Jerry Wilson (Sue) of Lake City, Florida and two daughters Paula Wilson of Atlanta, Georgia and Deanna Safe (Robert) of Chicago, Illinois. Her four children were her biggest goal and accomplishment in life. Elsie also worked at the First National Bank of Loveland from 1973 until she retired in 1983. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and husband. Elsie loved doing many things, she loved shopping, baking cookies, telling (clean) jokes, riding in the mountains, visiting friends and family and Oh yes....she loved her sweets. Sees Candy was her favorite. She also had a strong Christian faith and a deep love for the Lord. She will be missed. The family extends their sincere gratitude to all those that reached out with care, concern and love for Elsie. A special thanks to all the staff at Good Samaritan and Halcyon Hospice who took such good care of her. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 13, 2014, 11:00 A.M. at Viegut Funeral Home with a reception following at the Viegut Reception Center. A private viewing will be held and private burial will take place at Loveland Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a church of your choice or to Loveland Good Samaritan where she happily resided since May of 2005. Go to www.viegutfuneralhome.com for condolences.
