Allen Gabris Obituary
Allen Jay Gabris, of Loveland, passed away July 1, 2014 at the age of 81 at his home with his family present. He was born October 10, 1933 in Donora, PA to George Vincent Gabris and Ida Inez (Schwartz) Gabris. He grew up in Pittsburgh, PA. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He joined the US Air Force in July 1951. He married the love of his life Mary L. Owens on May 18, 1963. In July 1971, after 20+ years serving in the USAF, and completing his career as a Captain at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, he settled in Loveland, CO with his family. Allen started his own company, MSPI where he was an insurance broker up until 2001. Allen is survived by his wife Mary L. Gabris of 51 years; daughters, Cindy Thomas, Sue Helfrich (Jeff); sons, George Allen Gabris (Kathy), Ricky Gabris, Daryl Gabris; and stepdaughter, Teresa Lewis. He has six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. Sunday July 6, 2014 at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home. There will also be a brief visitation period at 1:30 prior to the memorial service which will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 7, 2014, at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home located at 1102 N. Lincoln Ave, Loveland, CO 80537. Interment will directly follow the memorial service at Loveland Burial Park with full Military Honors.
