Lewis Fink Obituary
Lewis W. Fink, 71, of Loveland died August 19, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born at home October 26, 1942 in Kensington, Kansas to Edward J. Sr. and Martha L. (Husky) Fink. Lewis was raised and educated in Agra, Kansas and graduated from Agra High school in 1960. He joined the U.S. Army and spent 13 years with the Kansas National Guard. He married Carolyn Pickel on October 27, 1968 in Smith Center, Kansas. They lived in Agra until 1984 when they moved to McPherson, Kansas. In 1987 they moved to Cimarron, Kansas and then to Loveland in 1992. While in High School he worked at Keckley's Grocery Store and later for Dean Grain Company, Kensington CO-OP, and Tampko. He started driving for Farmland Industries in 1975 and then Wal-Mart Distribution in 1992 from which he retired from in November 2006. Lewis enjoyed gardening, collecting Hot Wheels, playing Bingo, trips to Blackhawk, and watching his grandkids play sports. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Lewis is survived by his wife Carolyn, children Gary (Melanie) Fink of Loveland, Terry Fink of Colorado Springs and Becky (Pat) Higney of Johnstown; seven grandsons; one granddaughter; one brother Ralph (Sheila) Fink; sister-in-law Darlene Merrill; brother-in-laws Don (Johnnie) Pickel, Dale Pickel and Dean (Marie) Pickel, as well as his faithful companion's Keltzer and Ember. Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Viegut Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2014 at Viegut Funeral Home. Cremation will take place. Memorial contributions may be made to National Jewish Hospital and Research for Pulmonary Research, Larimer County Foster and Adopted Children or Premier Volleyball in care of Viegut Funeral Home 1616 N.
