Vernice Knudson Obituary
Vernice F. Knudson born to Vern and Stella Fox in Ethel, Macon County, MO. She moved to Denver, CO with her parents, a sister Hattie and a brother Milford in May, 1927. She attended Denver Public Schools as well as Emily Griffith Opportunity School and Parks Business School. She married Bernhard E. Knudson on July 3, 1933 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Denver, CO. Her baptism took place at Barnum Community Church and on April 14, 1935 she was confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran. Bernhard and Vernice were married 51 wonderful years until his death in 1984. To that union 3 daughters were born; Beatrice Larson of Michigan, Betty Moser (Alvie) of Greeley and Sylvia Bevans (Jim) of Loveland. Seven grandchildren; Delene Postuma (Wes), Cynthia Toman Albwardi (Mosaed), Sheila Weed (Victor), Denise Delgado, Bernhard Toman (Kim), Thelma Moser and Dean Martin. Three Step-grandchildren; Larry, Ronald and Kathy Bevans. Eleven Great-grandchildren; Iman, Faisal, Dalal, and Dema Albwardi, Carl Postuma, Joshua Weed, Christopher, Angela, Valerie and Mandy Toman, and Michael Delgado; one step grandson Cameron Bevans and one great-great grandaughter Razan Albwardi. She was preceded in death by her husband Bernhard, daughter Beatrice and grandaughter Cynthia. Vernice loved the Lord, her family and friends. She loved being a homemaker and feeding everyone. She worked at Montgomery Wards and Joslins. She so enjoyed her church in Denver and was very active. She moved to Loveland 10 years ago to be near her daughters. A special thanks to Karen Burfeind, Patricia Bowman and Graham Rinehart. Her family would also like to thank North Shore Health & Rehab staff, especially Mountanview nurses, CNAs, activities team and behind the scenes staff for their loving care and those present with our family at Mother's passing to Eternal Life. Viewing will be held on Sunday August 24, 2014 from 2-4pm at Viegut Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at King of Glory Lutheran Church on Monday, August 25, 2014, 10:00 a.m. with a reception following at the church. Burial will take place at 1:30pm at Crown Hill Cemetery in Denver following the reception.
