Chalán Rymes, 34, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 2nd. He will be remembered for his love of God, music, family and friends. Chalán is survived by his mother, Ana Rojas-Rymes, father Stan Rymes, brothers Josh and Chris Rymes, niece Molly, grandparents Ivan and June Rymes and many aunts, uncles and cousins in Colorado, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arizona, England and Peru. He is preceded by his grandparents Reinaldo and Conny Rojas. Chalán graduated from Loveland High School in 1996. He attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where he studied engineering. Chalán graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor of science in psychology. He received his certification in massage therapy from the Denver School of Massage Therapy. Chalán was also an avid volleyball player, musician, composer, and performer; a true Renaissance man. His faith in God was most important to him and he lived by the words: faith, hope and love. The Rosary will be recited at 7pm Thursday, at Allnutt Funeral Service in Loveland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday 2pm at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loveland. Interment at Loveland Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Chalán's honor can be made to the family in care of Allnutt Funeral Service.
