Linda Bath Obituary
Linda Bath, 68 of Loveland, CO died May 8, 2013 at the Pathways Hospice Care Center in Loveland. Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Resurrection Fellowship, 6502 East Crossroads Blvd., Loveland. Interment, Fort Morgan Cemetery. Linda Marie Weigand was born May 1, 1945 in Alva, Oklahoma to Carl and Helen Weigand. She grew up in Alva and spent her first two years of college at North Western Oklahoma State University there. She transferred to the University of Colorado, Boulder and graduated with a degree in Mathematics. It was at CU that Linda met David Bath while she was serving as president of the Baptist Student Union. They were married June 14, 1969 in Boulder, and together they have two daughters. Linda was one of the early pioneers in computer programming, working for 20 years at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder. She even helped with the early programming needs at Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado Springs. After living in Boulder, Linda and David lived in Arvada, CO, prior to settling in Loveland in 1991 where she and David started the Law Offices of Bath and Associates. Her faith in God's love carried her throughout her life; even to the very end, as she confidently proclaimed that it was her time to be going home. A woman with many talents, Linda was a gourmet cook who loved gardening, sewing, painting and horses. She especially loved the newest addition to her life; grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, David; two daughters, Lisa and husband Cody Schopfer of Ft. Collins and Laura Bath of Denver; two grandchildren, Drake and Cameron Schopfer; brothers, Carl Warren Weigand of Alva, OK and Dennis Weigand and wife Janet of Edmond, OK, and sister, Jan Rauh of Norman, OK. Her parents and a sister, Anita Beth, preceded Linda in death. In lieu of flowers, Linda's family requests that memorial donations please be made to Resurrection Fellowship for the building fund, c/o Goes Funeral Care, 3665 Canal Dr., #E, Ft. Collins, CO 80524.
