Robert Van Dalsem

Robert Ralph Van Dalsem of Loveland died April 28, 2017 at his home. He was born August 21, 1924 in Reserve, Kansas to Ralph and Muriel Halfick. Robert graduated from high school in Missouri. He served our country in the U.S. Marine Corp as a pilot during WWII, Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. Robert retired from the Marines with the rank of Lt. Colonel. Robert moved to Loveland, CO in 1970. On June 29, 1974 he married Eveleyn Forrester. He built his house and settled in west Loveland. Robert was a flight instructor at the Loveland Airport for 6 years. He loved flying and taught his wife how to fly. He also enjoyed gardening and tinkering in the garage. Robert is survived by his Wife Evelyn Van Dalsem of Loveland; son Anthony Van Dalsem of Loveland; daughters Maureen Coon of Loveland, Donna Hanna (Ira) of Chipley, FL and Debra Maberry (Carl) of Sweet Springs, MO. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 1 brother. Funeral services will be held at Viegut Funeral Home on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 1:00pm with interment following at Loveland Burial Park. A reception will be held at the Loveland Associated Veterans Club following the interment. Viewing Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 4-7pm at Viegut Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to services.
