In 1997 they moved to Abilene to be near their daughter and other family.
Myra was a member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church in Abilene. She enjoyed rooting for the Texas Rangers and listening to gospel music.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Tommy; a daughter, Kristy; her parents; a brother, Noel Lightsey of Kings Mountain, NC; and a sister, Patricia Griffith of Gatesville, TX.
She is survived by a son, Tommy Booth, Jr. of Abilene; a daughter, Kathy Booth of Abilene; and a brother, L. K. (Lois) Lightsey of Brookhaven, MS; and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Christopher Trauth, Dr. Robert Totoe, the amazing 7th floor nursing staff at Hendrick Hospital, and the very caring staff at Hendrick Hospice. Thank you for treating our mother like a member of your family and making her last days so much easier for her and us.
