Tommy Wendall Ramey born 12/15/1945 went home to his Lord and Savior, Tuesday 12/7/2010. He is survived by his wife Amy Lee Redus Ramey, sons Kevin and Brant, his wife Kris, granddaughters Jordan and Koriann, grandson Matthew, his mother Dorothy Ramey, sister Judy Savage, brother Gerald Ramey and wife Marsha, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service to be held 12/10/2010 at First Baptist Universal City, at 11:00 am, with viewing at Colonial Funeral Home 12/9/2010 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Burial to be held 12/15/2010 at 11:30 am at Ft Sam Houston cemetery.
Tommy was a loving husband for 43 yrs, father and grandfather, known as Papaw. Honored to have served his country in the U.S. Army (and Marine Corps) for 21 years. A proud Vietnam vet with numerous service medals and awards during his military service. He served his church by teaching and helping people find their Spiritual Gift.
He served his community through his involvement in Special Olympics competitions and committees at both the local and state level.
His grandchildren were the joy of his life and loved sleepovers-games-and bike rides. He looked forward to supporting their activities in choir and truly enjoyed those long choir trips.
In lieu of flowers, donations appreciated, Texas Children's Choir 2530 Harry Wurzbach, Ste 2606 San Antonio TX 78209.
