Derl Houghton Obituary
Weatherford
Derl Wayne Houghton, 70, passed away August 25, 2011 in Weatherford. He was born July 8, 1941 in Palo Pinto County the son of Richard Ivan and Donnie Mae Houghton. He married Rebecca Scott on March 10, 2007 in Perrin. He had lived in Perrin for the past 8 years and was a member of the Church of Christ in Aledo. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Services will be 10 AM Saturday, August 27, 2011 in the Galbreaith Pickard Chapel in Weatherford with Kenton Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 6-8 PM at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife: Rebecca Houghton of Perrin, children: Melissa of La Port, Gary of Weatherford, Kellie of Houston, Pam of Aledo, Clint of Nashville, Tennessee, Troy of Hudson Oaks, Chad of Stephenville, Becky of Weatherford, Carle of Weatherford, 21 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, brothers: Jackie Houghton of Mineral Wells, Joe Elmore of Mt. Pleasant, Lester Elmore of Perrin, and sister: Ruby Vaughn of River Oaks. He was preceded in death by his parents.
