Abilene, TX
Ryan "Chucky" Roberts passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016. Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Girdner Funeral Home, 141 Elm St. Abilene, Texas. Ryan was born in Abilene, September 9, 1983.
He survived by his parents Debbie Hite and Steve Roberts of Abilene, a grandfather Henry Roberts of Abilene, two daughters Elizabeth "Zizi" and Harley Havard of Abilene, a brother Michael Roberts of Abilene, and a sister Alicia Vaughn of Odessa; his Aunt, Sherry Maloney of Abilene, and his Aunt Missy Latham of Megargel.
Chucky loved his nieces and nephews ReShay Vaughn of Odessa, Sissy Hilburn, Alex Jones, Anthony Roberts and Andrew Strickland all of Abilene. Adopted siblings; Myk Tomko, Bryce Briggs, Isaac Jimenez, Ryan Sessums, Cody Booher, Angela Hilburn, Sergio O'Shaughnessy, Chris Young,Nikki Moore, and way too many more to be named.
"Wild Livin"- many will remember Chucky by these two words! Chucky loved his beer, tequila, 420 and family BBQ's. Chucky had a huge heart and would give anyone the shirt off of his back. His biggest passion was to work as a diesel mechanic at Abilene Gas & Diesel in Merkel, where they were a big family. Chucky took very good care of his mom with her failing health. He cooked, cleaned and ran errands with her. He always looked out for her no matter what he had going on in his life. Chucky will be missed by his family, friends and people who knew him from around town. #wildlivin

Debbie and family, I remember when we first met Ryan many years ago. A lot of water has gone under the bridge since then. EA and I tried to come to your house to visit but weren't for sure which house - thought if we went to the area we might be able to pick it out but that wasn't the case so we've just prayed for you over and over. May God comfort you at this terrible time of loss in your life. I know you remember the time when we worshipped together and the fond memories of then. We know how you depended on Him at that time. God hasn't changed; He'll be there for you and what would we do without Him?
