Robert Barnett Obituary

Robert Matthew Barnett

Anson, TX

Robert Matthew Barnett, 41, was found deceased in Hamlin, Texas on June 2, 2017. Matthew was born on July 11, 1975 to James and Margaret Barnett in Abilene, Texas.

Memorial Service will be at 4:00PM, Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Temple Baptist Church, 309 E. Campbell in Stamford, Texas with Pastor Jesse Morton officiating. Following the service, in the fellowship hall, there will be a celebration of Matthew's life to share memories and fellowship together.

Matthew attended schools in Stamford and Anson. He received his GED in 1992. Matthew was active in little league baseball and boy scouts. His passion growing up was reading all types of books. He loved going to family reunions and camping with the family. Matthew was very intelligent in many areas. After getting his GED, he worked in the family grocery business, loved working at the local rock quarries and his final passion late in life was the oilfield.

He is survived by his mother, father, daughter (Alanna), his sister (Becky), 4 nieces (Brooke, Krissy, Lezlee, Hannah), 2 great nieces (Baylee and Zowie), and 2 great nephews (Michael and Hayden). We want to thank his lifelong friend who always stood by him-Rudy. Matthew had many friends that he touched.

The family requests memorials be made to Meals on Wheels, your favorite church or charity.
