Floyd Ferguson

Floyd E. Ferguson, 68, Attica, passed away at his residence, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at 8:30 a.m. following a four year battle with cancer.
Floyd was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on July 10, 1945. He was the son of the late William Leon and Virginia Louise (Craft) Ferguson. Floyd was raised near Glasgow, Ky. and attended school in North Medcalf, Ky. Floyd moved to Attica in 1963.
Floyd had worked as a mechanic at Harrison Steel Castings Company for 40 years, retiring in 2009.
He was a member of the Mens Auxiliary of the V.F.W. Post # 3318 of Attica. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
On May 9, 1964, Floyd married Carrie A. Haas in Attica. She survives.
Floyd leaves behind his wife, Carrie, of 49 years; a son, Eddie W. Ferguson, Zalma, Mo.; three daughters, Carrie L. (Travis) Allen, Rainsville; Josie V. Ferguson, Williamsport and Laurie A. (Nathan) Lucas, Ridge Farm, Ill.; three brothers, Jerry (Betty) Ferguson, Neosho, Mo.; Gary Lee Ferguson, Munfordville, Ky. and Robert Dale (Brenda) Ferguson, Greensburg, Ky.; eight grandchildren, Michael and Joshua Pickett; Curtis Ferguson, Stephen Gregory, Kourtni and Kameron Freeman; Mariah Dick and Colton Ferguson; three great-grandchildren, Laedence and Tanner Pickett; Savannah Freeman and a sister, Phyllis (Donald) McDonald, Kingman. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Ferguson and an infant sister, Lori Ferguson.
Funeral services were held at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on July 27 with Pastor Jesse Stoner officiating. Burial followed in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
