Luella Jeanette Terrell, 78, Attica, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Attica, on Sunday, April 27, 2014.
Jeanette was born in Yates Center, Kan., on November 29, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Van Leland "Shorty" and Luella May (Driskill) Terrell. At the age of five, Jeanette and the family moved to Boswell and later moved to the Rainsville area in Warren County. She graduated from Pine Village High School and attended God's Bible School in Cincinnati, Ohio where she received a degree in music. Jeanette moved to Oxford and lived until later moving to Pine Village. In 2003 she moved to Attica.
Jeanette worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, in the printing department. In 1997 she retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital after spending 30 years with the hospital.
She was a member of the Fowler Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed crafts and baking. She taught piano lessons in her home for many years. She often played for funerals, weddings and at church.
She leaves behind her brother, Leland (Esther) Terrell, Attica; a niece, Vanessa (Bill) Stafford, Attica. She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Melvin Lee Terrell.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Thursday, May 1 from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Badgley officiating. Burial will follow in the Rainsville Cemetery, Rainsville.
