Following his discharge, in the fall of 1945 he began farming with his father and brother Richard and continued farming until his retirement.
Being a man of the land, following his retirement, he was active and enjoyed gardening. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 604 in New Richmond and enjoyed attending Army reunions. His greatest pleasure was his children and grandchildren. Jib was a very nurturing and relational man.
At the age of six months he was baptized at the Liberty Chapel Church and remained an active member of the church until his death. Warren and Doris actively participated socially throughout their life together with several neighborhood friends from Liberty Chapel Church. They shared celebrating birthdays, ice cream socials, sharing meals, playing cards and just genuinely enjoying their many friendships. Warren and Doris took many vacations with friends and relatives in the U.S. and visited their son and his family while they were living in England and Paris. Following Doris' death in 1983 Warren continued to visit and dine out with many friends, including his dear friend Lillian Davidson. Most recently he enjoyed going to the Highway 341 Opry in Wallace, IN. Family and friends were a very important part of Warren's life.
