Paul Albert Birch

Paul Albert Birch, 81, a resident of Phoenix, Ariz., and former resident of the St. Anthony area, died March 3, 2013, in a Chandler, Arizona Hospital from natural causes.
Paul was born May 2, 1931, in Wilford, Idaho, the son of Albert Henry and Alice Taylor Birch.
He was a farmer in the early years of his life. He grew up in the St. Anthony area where he attended school.
He was inducted into the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War. 1951 to 1953.
He married Carol Reynolds on Jan. 30,1963. They made their home in Wilford. They celebrated their 50th anniversary this year.
Paul served for the St. Anthony U.S. Postal Service for 28 years, retiring in 1992. He then moved to Phoenix where he has since lived.
In Arizona, he worked for 14 years for a automobile auction group driving cars.
Paul enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, hiking, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Paul is survived by his wife, Carol, of Phoenix, Ariz., six children, Brad (Carrie) Birch, of Shelley, Idaho, Darin (Kathy) Birch, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Denise Birch, of Phoenix, Ariz., Devin (Marcie) Birch, of San Diego, Calif., Dal (Sheryl) Birch, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Debi Birch of Phoenix, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; Two siblings, Ronella Birch, of Levan, Utah, and Norval Birch, of St. Anthony, Idaho.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death, by four brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 9, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Wilford LDS Church, with Bishop Gene Clements, officiating. Friends may call at the Bidwell Funeral Home Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. and at the church Saturday one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery where a military flag presentation will be presented.
