Russell Lloyd Bean

Russell Lloyd Bean, 87, passed away at his home on Jan. 26, 2013, with his family at his side.
He was born on Dec. 19, 1925, in Newdale, Idaho to Lee Addison Bean and Edith Siddoway Bean. He had three brothers, Douglas, Merlin, and Lee; and three sisters, Helen, Elizabeth and Miriam.
Russell spent his early years in Newdale, later moving to the family farm between Teton and Newdale. He attended Teton Elementary and graduated from Sugar-Salem High School in 1944.

After the war, Russell returned to Teton and began to farm in partnership with his brothers. They farmed as "Bean Brothers" until Doug and Merlin retired, then he farmed in partnership with his son, Lane.
Russell married Margaret Phillipp on Sept. 15, 1956, at Holy Rosary Church in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Together they raised four children, Leisa, Lane, LaRue and Lloyd.
He enjoyed farming and hard work. Russell was generous with his time and his talents. He was well known for helping others with repairs to their farm equipment, scraping snow, or anything else that was needed.
Russell especially loved spending time with his family. They worked together and had fun together. He loved and was proud of each of his children and grandchildren.
Russell was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
