Anna Margaret Bolland, 78, of Ashton, died Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, at her home of natural causes. She was born March 30, 1931, in Boulder, Mont., to Edwin and Mary Maher Ivey. In 1950 the family moved to Rexburg, and Margaret attended and graduated from Madison High School.

She married Bill Bolland on May 4, 1952, at Zion Lutheran Church in Ashton. They made their home in Squirrel until moving to Ashton in 1956, where she resided until her death, other than two years when she and Bill lived in Portland, Ore.
She was the mother of two children, Linda Dianne and Dale William.
She was a member of Ashton Christian Fellowship. She owned and ran a Christian bookstore in St. Anthony for many years, and then in Ashton for a few more. She loved flowers, birds, her pond, nature, and most of all her Lord, Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Bill of Ashton; daughter Linda (Kenneth) Strawn of Ashton, son Dale (Joni) Bolland of Vallejo, Calif.; a sister, Francis Dooms and a brother, Roy Ivey, both of Boise; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Joe Ivey, who died in infancy, and sisters Rose Machen and Joyce Machen.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at the Ashton Christian Fellowship with Pastor Rich Laux officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Baxter Funeral Home, 717 Main St. in Ashton, and Thursday from noon to 12:45 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Squirrel Cemetery.
