Olivia Tavares Obituary
Anyone who knew Olivia will never forget her infectious smile and her goofball humor. She was very smart, too smart for her own good. She excelled in school (when she wanted to). She loved to cook; her apple pies were the best. Her favorite food is anything with pasta, and she loved her Aunt Katie's frosting. She was artistic and loved art. She was great with kids. She has always had a motherly instinct and loved being around children. She had a great sense of humor and loved making people laugh. Olivia was a Girl Scout for 7 years and loved her friends and leaders.
Olivia was a member of the LDS faith and loved going to Young Women's activities. Her leaders made such a strong impact on her as well as her fellow young women (even if they did talk too much). She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She was a great daughter, sister, cousin and friend.
She is survived by her parents, Scott and Nikki Tavares, of Rexburg; her sister, Kora Tavares; and her brothers, Andrew and Shaun Tavares.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 4, at the LDS church building at 389 Mariah Ave. in Rexburg. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:30-7 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Friday from 12-12:45 p.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Rexburg Cemetery. Condolences may be sent online to the family at www.flammfh.com.

My favorite memory of Olivia is in 6th grade in mrs holtoms class we were playing honey do you love me and a boy walked over to olivia and olivias face turned bright red and it was a good way to end the school year!

I will miss you! I loved being in your 6th and 7th grade science classes. You were a great friend and was always making people laugh you had such a contagious smile and I will miss seeing it around school.

Olivia Tavares was a nice person I had a class with her at madison jr high she was an out standing person she would make laugh a lot she was all ways new the right thing to say i also had a class with kora they both are good children olivia was all ways making the teacher laugh she should be here all of the class mates will miss

Olivia was an amazing friend. My favorite memory was everytime I saw her walking down the hall we would pretend to high five but then dab. We would always laugh. Olivia the hardest though.
One of my other favorite memories was in science 6th grade. We were dissecting a gold fish and Olivia couldn't do it. She was laughing so hard for a reason that I couldn't understand. So I got a some one else to do it for her because she was still on a laughing fit :)
Olivia has a beautiful smile that could cheer up anyone. IT was great to see her smiling all the time. It always made my day. My sincere condolences to Olivia's family. My prayers and thoughts are with you.
