Scott Lynn Burch, 66, of Chubbuck, formerly of Ashton, passed away Saturday, April 6 at his home. He was born on Aug. 26, 1946 to David and Phyllis Hess Burch. He has two sisters, Joyce (Michael) Metcalfe and Gloria (Glendon) Bahr.
He graduated from Minico High School. Shortly after, he met and married Lynn Bateman. Together they had four children; the late Lisa Burch Palmer, Monica Burch, Dave (Suzelle) Burch and Sara (Jonathan) Wollin.
He first made his living working for the Union Pacific Railroad, after an injury resulting in a disability he went to work as a mechanic, eventually becoming a service department manager for a John Deere Dealership.
Scott was a very hardworking man. He loved his family and would do anything he could for them.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn, children, David, Sara, and Monica, as well as four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and oldest daughter, Lisa.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Baxter Funeral Home in Ashton. The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to services. Interment will be in the Pineview cemetery with military rites. Condolences may be sent online to www.baxterfh.com.
