Hazel Brandon passed away peacefully at Renown Medical Center on Saturday November 3, 2012. Hazel has been a resident of Sparks, Nevada for over 25 years. She retired from the State of Nevada with more than 30 years of service.
Hazel was born March 27, 1954 in Oakland, California to Geraldine Samuels and Charles Green Sr. Hazel grew up in Hawthorne and graduated from Mineral County High School. Moving to Sparks, she began her career with the State of Nevada as an entry level employee on October 12, 1988. She worked in multiple departments and was loved by all. Hazel retired on October 12, 2012 from the Department of Motor Vehicles as a Professional Level Personnel Officer.
She leaves to cherish her memories her son: Duane Green and her daughter Kizzy Kadeshia Howard (Terry) both of Reno, NV; her father Charles Green Sr., (Imagine) of Perris, CA; 5 brothers, Charles Green (Kim) and Abraham Samuels both of Reno, NV; Harold Green of Perris, CA, James Green of San Francisco, CA and Gordon Green (Fabian) of Sacramento, CA; 3 sisters, Lillie Samuels and Geraldine Calloway of Reno, NV, and Janie White (Bob) of San Francisco, CA; 5 grandchildren, Jarrell Green, Alysha Brandon, Tyrese
Howard, Taniyah Howard & Jaden Green; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by husband Albert Joe Brandon; her mother Geraldine Samuels, and her Grandmother Ada Bell Elder.
A celebration in her memory will be held Saturday November 10, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church, 1265 Montello Street Reno, Nevada 89512. Arrangements under the directions of John Sparks Memorial.

My dear friend Hazel, I loved you dearly as a friend and will always cherish the laughter and smile you shared with me. Kizzi and Duane my thoughts and prayers are with during this time. May you find peace and comfort in knowing that Hazel has returned to her Heavenly Father.

Hazel: I just hope they have a "Daughter's restaurant in heaven because we never did get to have our lunch at the one in Reno. I hope Kizzie and Duane will find peace in knowing that you have passed down a legacy of: strength, laughter and encouragement to them, so they can carry on and help others as you did.
I know you are a happy angle in God's heaven, but I will miss you.
