Edmund Harold Tribble

Ed Tribble 71, passed away at his home on June 27, 2013 after a courageous battle with skin cancer. He was born January 21, 1942 in Dover, New Hampshire the son of Harold and Bernice Tribble.

Ed grew up in Sparks, Nevada and attended Sparks High School, where he played football and worked at Quality Linen Supply and Block S. After high school Ed began working for the U.S. Forest Service for 7 years, the National Division of Forestry as a seasonal firefighter for 3 years and was Sergeant in the National Guard for 6 years. Ed graduated from UNR with a B.S. in Science Education and a Masters in Educational Administration.

Mr. Tribble had an incredible teaching career that focused on hands-on science and outdoor education. During his 29 years of teaching at Dilworth MS he positively impacted thousands of students' lives. For 10 years he led an Outward Bound Club where he shared his passion for outdoor adventure.

Ed loved to expose people to the beauty of nature through hiking, rock climbing, mountaineering, cycling, mountain biking, all forms of skiing and working at REI for 10 years. Eddy will always be remembered for his independent thinking, determination and spirit of adventure.

Ed is survived by his beautiful bride of 32 years, Jeanne Cox Tribble, his son Damon Tribble and his wife Ariel, his grandchildren Alexandra and Zoe, his sister Nancy and his brothers Bob and Dennis.

A memorial service will be held on July 7, 2013 at 3:00 at Sparks Christian Fellowship located at 510 Greenbrae Dr. in Sparks, Nevada. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Animal Ark. P.O. 60057 Reno, NV 89506-0001
