Nevada native and World War II veteran Justin Olin, age 87, passed away on April 25th after several years of declining health.

Following graduation from Reno High School, he entered the US Navy and served in the Pacific Theater until the war ended. Upon returning home he worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad as a train dispatcher until the dispatcher's office in Sparks was closed. Justin worked as an insurance agent for 30 years eventually opening his own brokerage office. In the late 1960s, he was employed by Washoe County as their first Personnel Director, a position he held for several years. Upon retiring, Justin and his wife, Beverly, enjoyed traveling throughout the western United States and Canada for many years.

Justin was a 50 year member of Wadsworth Lodge #25 F. & A. M. and Toastmasters International.

He is survived by Beverly, his wife of 68 years and three children: Mark (Mary), Scott, and Sr. Wendy Olin, six grandchildren: Emily (Justin) Landon, Sarah (Roger) Aiazzi, Laura (Erik) Carlson, Anna (Kyle) Chalko, Shannon and Leah Olin, and four great grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank the staff on the Kensington Unit at Manor Care for their thoughtful and considerate care during Justin's final days.
