Rose "Jamie" Moore(1940 - 2013)

Rose "Jamie" Marion Moore

Rose "Jamie" Moore was born to Natalie and Bruce Moore on 10/18/1940 in Memphis, TN. She served in the Army as a medical corpsman stationed in San Francisco. She lived in the Bay Area for 15 years prior to moving to Reno to assist her parents in the management of their motel. She was a 40 year Reno resident prior to re-locating back to Redwood City, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her partner Sally and son Rusty. She will be missed by daughter, Helen (Em), grandsons Jessie (Sarah), Cole (Katie) and their five children.

Jamie was an avid sports enthusiast. She played on softball teams most of her life. In addition to the local teams, she rallied behind the SF Giants and SF 49ers, win or loose. She had a long career at Baker and Taylor and worked for both the Nevada Medical Center and the Peppermill until she retired. During her retirement years she was able to travel and spend quality time with her friends and pets.

She was espescially grateful for her loving friends, Marilyn, Laryy, Pat, Ruth and Karen who gave her love, care and courage to fight the disease that ultimately claimed her on July 24th. Our Jamie Rose now dances with the angels surrounded by both two and four footed souls that she loved that passed before her. Her warm and loving heart and smiling green eyes will be missed by all whose lives she touched.

A gravesite celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, Oct 19th at Mountain View Cemetery, Reno, NV at 11:00 AM.
