Susan Kay Johnston-Duchesneau--born on April 13, 1963 in Richmond, California--passed away peacefully on February 10, 2013 in Palo Alto, California surrounded by her family.

Sue graduated from Reno High School in 1981, and lived in the Reno area for 32 years. Although she primarily worked in the medical field, she also worked as a flight attendant with Reno Air. Her most recent jobs were with Renown Health and Starbucks.

Sue was a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend. She loved spending time with her husband, her children, her dogs and her ever growing extended family.

Sue had a contagious laugh and people were drawn to her. Her smile was a beacon of light to those around her. Sue was our angel on earth.

Sue is survived by her husband Scott Duchesneau, her children Genevieve and Taylor Duchesneau, parents Jerry and Linda Johnston, brother Michael Johnston and his wife Ásta, sisters Karen Catlin and her husband Rick, Leesa Genco, Terri Ogden and her husband Troy, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and her beloved dog Kimo.

The family would like to recognize the kindness and compassion Sue received from the Stanford Heart Transplant team and wonderful nurses involved in Sue's care.

A celebration of life will be held at The Grove, 95 Foothill Road in Reno, Saturday, March 23rd at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sue's memory to the , Reno or Sierra Nevada Donor Awareness.
