David Albert Stoika of Reno NV, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. He was born on November 10, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan. David and his family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1954 where his most cherished childhood friendships began and continued till his death. He graduated in 1971 from Votech High School, in Henderson, Nevada. He worked in the gaming industry for over a decade. He then started a career in construction which lasted 25 years. David lived in Las Vegas until he married his wife Kelli Fields in 1996 and moved to Reno. He became a flooring installation journeyman in Reno and joined union 567. David is survived by his wife Kelli, mother, Margaret, son, Max, daughter, Hayley, sisters Cheryl and Sandra and niece, Kara.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 30, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 200 Island Ave, Reno NV at 1:00 pm with a burial service held on Wednesday, April 3, at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Las Vegas, NV.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting you make a donation to your local ASPCA in honor of David's love of animals or your choice of charity.
