Gerald (Gerry) L. Krueger
Gerry went to be with the Lord on Thursday July 25, 2013. He was born in Sacramento, California on March 8, 1946. Gerry worked for National Car Rental in San Jose, California, transferring to Reno in 1979. He began working at Sierra Pacific Power Company in 1983, retiring in 2007.
Gerry pursued his passion for fishing and camping and was practically a full time resident of Jackson Meadows Reservoir during the summer months. Gerry was a loyal San Francisco Giants and 49er fan.
Gerry had a kind and caring heart and enjoyed a good conversation. He was a devoted father and adored his time spent with his young grandchildren.
Gerry was preceded in death by both parents, Laurence (Larry) and Virginia Krueger. He leaves behind his children Laura Krueger Golish of Reno, NV, son Adam Krueger of Portland, OR; son-in-law David Golish and his beloved grandchildren, Jackson and Leah Golish . He is also survived by his brother Ronald Krueger of Carson City, NV, former wife and friend Patti McCarty, and niece and nephew Jason and Erica Krueger. Gerry will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him and loved him.
A "Celebration of Life" breakfast will be held for Gerry on Saturday September 21, 2013, 10am at The Grove at South Creek in Reno. Please bring your memories of Gerry and any photos you may have of him as well. Northern Nevada Memorial was entrusted with arrangements.
