Hollis Dell Nielsen of Sparks, NV passed away peacefully on September 3, 2013 at the age of 84 years. Hollis was born in Menan, ID, raised in Butte, MT and later moved to Heyburn, ID where he met his late wife, Betty Lou (Connor). They were married 65 years and sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls LDS temple. They moved to Sparks, NV in 1965 for Hollis to be the finish carpenter to complete the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Stake Center located on Rock Blvd. Hollis's life consisted of family, hard work, and building his dream homes. His passion was attending the weekly Friday night dances at the Senior Community Centers. He is survived by his wife Estella, his children Janis Marecek, Jeanette Brooks, Jeri Coty and Kurtis Nielsen. Grandfather of 14 and great-grandfather of 21. Hollis was predeceased by his wife Betty, his parents, Alma and Clara Nielsen, and 9 siblings. The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 7th, at 10am at The LDS Stake Center at 2955 Rock Blvd. with a viewing service prior at 9am. The interment service will be held in Heyburn, ID at the Riverside Cemetery.
