James Kyle Obituary
Our most precious and beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend passed away on Friday, February 10, 2012.
Jim was raised in Orange, Texas. The youngest of 3 sons, he graduated from Lutcher Stark High School and attended the University of Texas in Austin where he met Lynne, the love of his life. He gave service to his country as an Army Sergeant E-5 during the Vietnam Era and then settled in Clear Lake, Texas - a suburb of Houston - with his treasured wife and children, Christine and Robert. For twenty-five years, Jim had a very successful career in Industrial Sales servicing NASA, Houston Petrochemical Plants, Texas City, Galveston and surrounding South Texas areas.
After the kids were out of the nest, Jim and Lynne followed a dream and came to Reno in 1993 where Jim became a Casino Dealer at Circus Circus for almost 19 years. His supervisors, co-workers and the many valued guests at Circus meant the world to him. His humor and relaxed presence were admired by all who knew him and he will be missed.
Preceding Jim in death were his Father, J.M. Kyle, Jr., his Mother, Catherine May Kyle, and his brother Philip Lee Kyle. Jim is survived by his most beloved and devoted wife Lynne of 44 years and their two children: daughter Christine Adkins, her husband Kevin and grandson Wes Andrews; son Robert Kyle, his wife Misty and grandchildren Landon and Layla. He was so very close to his oldest Brother Jack Kyle, wife Mary Gail, and niece Kristin. Also, nieces and nephews Scott, Matthew and family, Kathryn and family, Jennifer and family, and their mother Betty Kyle, were very dear to him, as well as niece Tracy and family, nephew Philip and family, and their mother Linda Britton.
Jim's legacy is his beautiful family whose lives are so touched by his amazing example of devotion, honesty and respect. We loved this wonderful man with all the love there is to give and will continue to do so until eternity. We know he is at peace and with our family in Heaven, which gives us comfort and strength. Jim's final wishes were to "Let It Ride".
A private celebration of life was held Monday, February 13, 2012 as family gathered to share their love and memories. Arrangements were entrusted to O'Brien-Rogers & Crosby Funeral Home.

Sorry to hear about Jim's death. We lived in the same neighborhood growing up in Orange Texas. We played many games of basketball & baseball together. He was a fine gentleman & good sportsman. Always considerate of others, never wanting any attention or recognition.
Jim, may your family be comforted by God's grace & mercy!

I am saddenned to hear about Jim's death. I live in Sacramento, CA and a fellow Craps player, who lives in Reno, told me about his death. Jim was always a nice gentlemen at the table with a droll sense of humor. He will be missed and remembered. R.I.P. Jim, now and forever.

Thank you for including Jim here at UT. We met at UT and fell in love; our memories of those early years seem like they happened just yesterday.
Jim was the most devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle to his family and was so proud of all of us. This wonderful man touched so many lives with his gentle hand. We will miss him so very much and we will keep precious memories alive for everyone to see how he made our family so loving and fine. We are blessed in ways that cannot be put to words.
