Lyle James Buchanan Sr.

On April 30, 2013, Lyle "Buck" Buchanan Sr, 92, passed quickly in Dayton, Nevada. Buck was born on March 2, 1921. As a young man he joined the Army Core and proudly served our country during World War II.

He is preceded in death by his wife Gertrude "Trudy" Buchanan, sons Lyle Jr. and Kelly. He is survived by Randy (Shari) Buchanan, Jim Buchanan, Dave Buchanan, Mark Buchanan and daughters Annmarie Buchanan and Rosemary (Scott) DeGano. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren

Buck has lived in the Reno area for over 30 years establishing himself as a successful paint contractor and becoming the 13 member elected to the USBC hall of fame.

A celebration of his life will be held on May 10th at 11am at Walton funeral home Carson City, Nevada with the burial following.

Buck was a kind, loving and generous husband, father and grandfather. As much as he will be missed, we are at peace knowing he has return to the loving arms of his wife of over 60 years. Together they can dance away in heaven and he can score as many 300 bowling games as he wants.
