Max Johnson Hale

Max Johnson Hale, 70, of Fernley, NV passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 at the Veterans Hospital in Reno, NV. He was the loving husband of Elizabeth Evans Hale for 25 years.

Born March 14, 1943 in Bedford, he was the son of the late Curtis Hale and Augusta Johnson Hale. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, William Arnold Hale.

Max proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was of the Baptist faith. He worked for many years as a printer for Meredith-Burda / RR Donnelly in Lynchburg before transferring to Casa Grande, AZ then to Fernley, NV and later retired from Quebecor. He was an avid NASCAR fan who loved working on vintage automobiles such as his classic 1956 Ford Truck. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends.
