Michael Raymond Borda of Palos Verdes, CA passed away March 18, at age 45 surrounded by his loving family. Even though he could no longer fight the cancer his incredible spirit never gave up.

Born in Carson City in 1967, Mike graduated from Carson City High School in 1986, then went on to play football first at foothill college, then at Sacramento State as a wide receiver. He was a founder of the Sierra Nevada Classic Foundation and recently co-produced a documentary with his brothers called Death, Taxes and the Sierra Nevada Classic.
