Mildred Joyce O'Steen
The Guest Book is expired.
Joyce O'Steen, 76, of Reno, passed away on Tuesday, July 16th, surrounded by family.
She was born to the late Arthur Wellington Foster Bennett and Mildred Stumpf, September 15, 1936 in Illinois. She lived in Los Angeles, where she met and married the late Samuel O'Steen. They travelled the world and enjoyed life for many years.
Joyce's passion was the arts. She loved opera, the ballet, and painting. She was a realtor in Incline Village in the seventies, and then moved to San Diego, where she taught others how to excel in life. She moved to Reno in 1994, where she spent many years as security at Meadowood Mall. Her smile and laugh was contagious, and her spunk gave those around her a run for their money. Her creativity was unsurpassed; she was a mentor, nurturer, teacher and friend to many and will be greatly missed.
Joyce is survived by daughter Wendy O'Steen-Wilson, a grand-daughter, sister Marge Hunt, and many life long loving friends.
A celebration of life arrangements are being made, and will be announced at a later date.
The family would like to give their gratitude to Circle of Life for their care and compassion.
