Phillip Edward
FRINK
Phillip Edward Frink, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away in peace on Monday afternoon, December 15, 2009. He was blessed with a loving family and caring office staff that made his last year so memorable for all who knew him. This final year showed everyone the strength that is possible when you give your life challenges to Jesus Christ.
Phil was born to Wendell Frink and Margaret Forgette Frink, in Springfield, MA. His mother passed away when he was seven years old and he was raised by his French Basque grandparents and cared for by his older sister and brother. As a child, people were drawn to him because of the amount of beautiful curly hair he had and his gorgeous large blue eyes. As a man, the gorgeous blue eyes were still a draw but he had a little less curly hair. He moved to Palo Alto, CA in order to attend Stanford University. Phil graduated from Stanford University with a degree in accounting. Shortly after graduating, he was employed by a title company and began his career as a title officer and foreclosure officer. Phil often told the story of how he applied for a job thinking he was going to "lay floor tile and make big money. I was totally taken by surprise when I found myself looking at a little screen obtaining information about real estate properties and making little money."
Phil started his own very successful foreclosure business, Northern Nevada Trust Deed Services, with an office in Las Vegas and one in Reno. Throughout his career, he was known to be a true professional with a knowledge of the foreclosure process and law unsurpassed by most. In 2006, Phil and Linda opened the offices of Phil Frink & Associates. With the current state of the economy, this business has grown tremendously and now employees a staff of eight, all of which mourn this loss but each and every one of them have the faith to know he is in a perfect place with his Heavenly Father.
Often, during the last few months, he asked Linda to keep his heritage alive and to make sure the business would pass to his children, Aaron and Chris McBride. At this time, his daughter-in-law, Chris McBride, the Senior Vice President of the company, is determined to keep the remembrance of Phil alive through the success of this foreclosure business. He worked so hard, for over 40 years, to help others in their time of financial need and Linda, Chris, and the staff are dedicated to doing the same just as he asked.
Phil loved and was so proud of his family. Much time was spent with them fishing, hunting, boating and camping. Another favorite pastime was golfing with his many valued friends.
Phil is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Linda Frink, and son Aaron McBride (Chris); daughters Cassie Marshall, Debbie MacClements, Stacey Larson and Lori Elder; grandsons Travis Marshall, Ryan Marshall, Jeremiah McBride, Isaac McBride, Matthew Wilkie, Jason Wilkie, Jacob Perlichek, and Taylor Stephens; granddaughters Ashley Perlichek, and Kaylan Perlichek; great-grand- daughters Emma Olson, Lilly Wilkie, and Thea Stephens; his loving brother Leroy Frink (Helen) and caring sister Joyce Midwood (Ronald) and many nieces and nephews.
We are inviting anyone who knew Phil to join us for a memorial service at The First Congregational Church of Reno, 627 Sunnyside Drive, Reno, on Sunday, December 27, at 3 p.m. A reception will follow thereafter with the information for same to be announced at the memorial. Arrangements are entrusted to Walton Sierra Chapel.
