September 9, 2012

Rhonda G. Stocke (Murray) died Sept 9, 2012 at home due to lung cancer. You may remember her as always having a smile, with wonderful laughter, her thoughtful acts of kindness, her devotion to Jehovah and a willingness to laugh at herself and others! Rhonda was born in Rapid City, South Dakota on May 29, 1956 to Edwin and Maxine (Anderson) Stocke. They raised her, her two sisters and brother in Sparks, Nv. Her childhood stories mainly consist of her fun and playful disposition, always creating a good gut laugh for those around her. She married the love of her life, Tom Murray, on Oct 11, 1980. This marriage of 32 yrs was spent drinking coffee, laughing and raising two kids, Beau Murray born Oct 30, 1981 and Chelsea (Murray) Lucey born Jan 31, 1984. They lived in Gillette, Wy for over 20yrs. Rhonda also had the privilege of helping raise her stepdaughter, Angela. She was a proud grandmother and loved to play dress up with her girlies! Most of all what governed Rhonda's life was her God, Jehovah. She dedicated her life to Jehovah by water baptism on April 22, 1989. From that point on her life work was to share Bible truths with as many as she could. She knew that death is just a time of sleep, Ecclesiastes 9:5,10, and that she will be resurrected to a paradise earth. Psalms 37:10,11 & 29. Rhonda deeply cared for her family and had many friends that became part of her family! Overall, laughter surrounded her life. The words "what" & "really" will not soon be forgotten! Survived in death by her husband, Tom Murray of Hot Springs, SD; son, Beau Murray of Ludlow, VT; daughter, Chelsea (Stoyan) Lucey Pringle, SD; parents, Edwin & Maxine Stocke of Sparks, NV; sister, Lorna Southard of Greensboro, NC; sister, Sheila (Theron) Wood of Reno, NV; brother, Edwin Stocke Jr. of San Diego, CA; grandkids, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, and lots of friends as close as family.
