Robert R. Hawley, 74, passed away October 3rd, peacefully surrounded by his family.
He was born August 20, 1939 in Annabella, Utah to Kenneth & Cleone Hawley, who precede him in death.
He is survived by Carol, his loving wife of 54 years; children Scott (Linda), Kevin, Kelly, Trina (Anthony); grandchildren Kendall (Matt), Kelsey (Mark), Casey (Melissa), Connor, Kenzie, Macy, Beau and Rowan; great-grandchildren Savannah, Eliza, Luke, Sierra & Ariana; sister Louise (Verl), brothers Leon (Sylvia) and Herb (Connie); and many nieces and nephews.
Bob came to Reno in 1970 and was owner/operator of the Shell service station on 4th and Sierra St. In 1975, he and his longtime friend and business partner, Fred Dalton, opened Red Ball Auto Parts, which they operated until they closed in 1998.
Bob enjoyed serving and holding many positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Through his work, church, hunting and softball, Bob made and treasured many close friendships.
Please join us in celebrating his life on Saturday, October 12th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint, 1095 Golconda Drive, Reno, NV at 11:00 a.m. Viewing will be at 10:00 a.m.
