LaVerne S. Edsall

November 10, 1923

February 7, 2014

LaVerne S. Edsall passed away, peacefully, on February 7, 2014, at the age of 90. Her sweet-natured and fun-loving personality, kept her family smiling and brought us comfort. Her home was always full of laughter and family, and so were her final days.

LaVerne was a graduate of Sparks High School, where she met her loving husband of over 70 years, Floyd L. Edsall. She and Floyd raised 5 children, and LaVerne walked hand in hand with Floyd thru his military, coaching and teaching careers. She was a member of P.E.O. and the National Guard Wives' Club. LaVerne will be remembered for her generous heart, her beautiful artwork, her knack for interior design and her magic in the kitchen, where she created delectable meals and desserts. She was elegant, a classic beauty, with a smile that lit up the room. Her contagious laugh will be in our hearts forever. We know she is walking along the oceanside, holding hands with Floyd and dancing to their favorite music.

LaVerne is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Floyd, who died only 9 days before LaVerne, her daughter Trudie Arentz, son Leonard Edsall and grandson Alex Lebedoff.

She is survived by her loving family - daughters; Cheryl Tenk (Brick), Susan McCartin (Kevin) & Brenda Lebedoff, Son in Law Sam Arentz, Brother in Law Glenn Edsall, 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren & 2 great-great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Staff at the Cascades of the Sierra, Gentiva Health Services and Gentiva Hospice.

A private family gathering will be held. A service will be held for LaVerne & Floyd at the Veterans Military Cemetery in Fernley at a later date.
