Melva Jean Harpster Kinsella

Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and Aunt, quietly crossed the bridge on March 17, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born in Gilmer, TX on July 10, 1928 to Johnny and Ada Rials. During the Depression, the family moved to California. In 1953 she and husband, Kay Harpster, and sons, James and Bruce, moved to Reno. Jean worked in various casinos in various positions. During that time, she had three more children, Stephen, Cheri and Tommy. Kay passed away in 1972 and four years later she met Joe Kinsella. They were married until Joe passed away in 1977. She retired and became Grandma Jeannie to all of the kids that she cared for in her home.

She is predeceased by her parents (Johnny and Ada) , husbands (Kay and Joe), brother (Don), son (Bruce), daughter-in-law (Dorothy), grandson (Jerad) and son-in-law (Danny).

She is survived by three sons, James (Eve) of Smith Valley, Stephen (Sheila) of Fernley, Tommy (Teresa) of Spanish Springs and a daughter, Cheri of Spanish Springs.

She is also survived by two brothers and two sisters, seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11:00 am April 12, 2014 at Walton's Funeral Home 1745 Sullivan Lane, Sparks, NV.
