Elisa Manalo

Elisa Manalo, 71, passed away April 10, 2014 after a year of battling ovarian cancer.

Elisa was an ambitious and determined person throughout her life. Her ambition and determination led her and her husband, Tony, to migrate to the U.S. from the Philippines in 1975. Elisa fulfilled her dream of a better life for her family and raised three successful children. She brought friendship and happiness to her friends and coworkers at Harrah's Tahoe for over 30 years before retiring and moving to Reno, NV. She enjoyed traveling to Europe, playing at the casinos and tending to her garden. Elisa loved her family dearly especially her two young grandchildren.

Prior to succumbing to her battle with ovarian cancer, she had survived 3 bouts of breast cancer.Elisa was preceded in death by her son Sherwin, and sisters Loretta and Fausta. She is survived by her husband Tony, son Ariel, daughter Noreen, her two grandchildren, sisters Salud, Mameng, and Josefina, and brother Vicente. She is no longer suffering and is now at peace.

A vigil will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd with a viewing for family/close friends from 3-5pm, close casket from 5-7pm with a rosary service at 6pm. The vigil will be held at Ross, Burke & Knobel Mortuary located at 2155 Kietzke Lane, Reno, NV 89502.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from 2-3pm at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church located at 100 Bishop Manogue Drive, Reno, NV 89511.
