Frances (Fran) Alzueta Henson
The Guest Book is expired.
Fran made her way to heaven at peace on July 22, 2014. She was born on May 31, 1937 in Reno, Nevada to Narciso and Agustina Alzueta. She graduated from Reno High School in 1955 and married her husband Bill, on September 24, 1960 in Virginia City, Nevada.
Fran worked at First National Bank later to become First Interstate Bank for over 30 years and became one of the first female loan officers in the State of Nevada.
She enjoyed going to Lake Tahoe with her girlfriends before she got married and spent many years camping with her family and friends at Lahontan, Eagle Lake, Topaz Lake and the Oregon Coast just to name a few. She was active in the Cub Scouts/Boy Scouts programs as a Cub Scout den mother for Pack 168 and as a treasurer for Troop 168, both in Sparks. In retirement she enjoyed traveling as a snow bird with Bill to the southern states, playing Bingo at John Ascuaga's Nugget and going to the movies.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Bill, son and daughter-in-law Michael and Lorraine, sister and brother-in-law Paula and Lee Boekhout, niece Stephanie Boekhout, great niece Ashley Tiedeman and great great niece Maci. Her son Mark preceded her in death in 1986.
The family would like to thank the staffs at The Arbors in Sparks for all the loving care they provided Fran over the past 2 years and to Gentiva Hospice Care during the last few months of her life.
In honor of Fran's final wishes, no funeral service will be provided. All are invited to visit the On Line Book of Memories at www.waltonsfuneralhomes.com to share a Memory of Fran with the family.
